This post may come as a shock to some and maybe not so much a shock to others. I don’t know any other way to say it other than to just say it, so here it is. As of the end of this year, 2012, I will be closing Rebekah Wright Photography. I WILL still be shooting things that I have already scheduled, but I will not be taking on any new clients or new bookings from here on out.
It makes me sad to type this, but it’s also good in it’s own way. You see, I have decided to go a different route. Many of you may know that photography isn’t my only job. I have been working at a screen printing shop here in Versailles for the past 4 years. I also worked there during high school and some summers during college. My bosses had decided to retire and after a lot of consideration my dad and I decided to buy the business. So, as of May 1, I have been running our new screen printing business, Wright Printing and Promotional Advertising.
I still love to shoot, and will probably continue as a hobby, but after this year, my days of being booked every weekend for a wedding or a shoot are going to be ending. I have loved getting to know all my clients and some have become great friends. I will gladly refer people to my second shooters if they are in need of a photographer.
So, from now on, I’ll be doing design and running the new business. Feel free to give me a call or an email if you need any tshirts, printing or promotional products!
